Pyrus knows very well how hard it is to be either a start-up or a small business. In these times, it is exceptionally harder. Sometimes, someone - could be a friend, family member, a celebrity or a complete stranger - says something, gives you advice or does something that could be in passing but it resonated with you and inspired you to carry on and believe in what you are doing.
Ash and I have had many moments like that and whilst the person has no idea what they said or did that inspired us at some high points and low points in our life.. What they said or did still influences and inspires us now. Some people have directly helped us with our business, given us a small opportunity to help us on our way and we want to start doing that for others
Our first #supportsmallbusiness feature will be my dear friend Yami, she is a very talented mother of three. I admire her determination and passion to come up with ideas and manage to make them happen. I first met Yami in 2015, she was heavily pregnant with her second child and both our first born boys were starting nursery together.. since then we have been very good close friends
Under her Yummy By Yamy brand, Yami has hosted many Supper Clubs ( which I have been lucky to taste her amazing cooking!) made Mum & baby hair accessories and also recently made lovely matching printed heart cushions for NHS workers - one for the NHS worker to take to work with them and the other for the family to keep, to remind both of eachother during the worst of the Covid-19 outbreak. Now, Yami is making printed turban headbands and you can read more about what inspired her to do so in our first #supportsmallbusiness feature next week.
Pyrus is commissioning Yami to make 20 limited edition printed head bands which will be given free to the first 20 lucky customers that order from our store.
The launch date of the exclusive headbands will be announced soon. In the mean time you can check her out on Instagram @yummy_by_yamy or on facebook Yummy By Yamy and direct message her for enquiries
